December 6, 1987 was a memorable night. I was seventeen. I was in worship at the church I had attended all my life. High school graduation was five long-awaited months ahead. And the Holy Spirit was nudging at my heart.
Unmistakably, God was speaking to me about my future. My decision to be a computer techie and programmer was being challenged by His design for me. On December 6, 1987 I responded to His call in a public way at the end of a Sunday evening worship service.
After 20 years of working at living into that calling, it seems time to reflect on some of what I’ve witnessed and learned along the way.
